Dear Delegates,
I am pleased to inform that Department of Microbiology, RIMS, Ranchi, Jharkhand, India is going to host 16th National Biennial Conference of Indian Society of Medical Mycologists (ISMM) from 4th to 7th February 2027.
The theme of this conference is “Fungal Infections in the changing world: Climate, Environment, Host and One Health”. This topic aligns with global health priorities including WHO’s first ever fungal priority pathogens list, rising cases of climate sensitive fungal outbreaks and growing antifungal resistance concerns. This theme also focusses on how global climate change, environmental shifts and host dynamics are reshaping the landscape of fungal infections in both humans and animals. The One Health approach recognizes the interconnectedness of human, animal and environmental health.
The theme encourages discussions on emerging pathogens, changing epidemiology and integrated strategies for diagnosis, treatment & prevention.
